WHAT IS THE FOUNDATION?
Separate from Kalamazoo
Valley Community College and governed by its own board
of directors, the KVCC Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3)
charitable organization through which contributions can
be made to both the college and its affiliated entities.
Established in 1980, the Foundation accepts and administers
contributions both unrestricted and those designated for
specific purposes, such as, but not limited to, student
scholarships, the purchase of necessary equipment to improve
instruction, the museum and construction of new facilities.
|
WHY ARE GIFTS NEEDED?
KVCC is committed to providing the highest level of educational
opportunities to its enrollment. Additional funding is necessary
to support academic programs, the latest in technological
upgrades, scholarships, capital campaigns and more, which
would not be possible without private funding.
(State of Michigan provides less than 30% of the school's
operating budget.)
