Editor, MPI Exec Join Foundation Board
The editor of the Kalamazoo Gazette and the chief operating officer of MPI Research in Mattawan have been appointed to the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Foundation Board of Trustees.



Business Attire Is What We Need
The KVCC Foundation is looking to assist our Student Success Center (SSC) with a need for appropriate business attire.



OFE Dinner Raises Over $29,000 for Scholerships
The 2009 Opportunities for Education dinner featuring keynote speaker,former Governor of Vermont and canidate for Democratic nomination of President, Howard Dean helped raise in excess of $29,000 for student scholarships.



2009-10 Grant Funding Deadlines
The KVCC Foundation has established 2009-10 funding deadline dates for internal grant requests and proposals for consideration.



Governor Howard Dean to Keynote 2009 OFE Dinner
On Wednesday, May 20, 2009, The Kalamazoo Valley Community College Foundation will host the fifth annual Opportunities for Education scholarship dinner for the purpose of raising dollars for students in need. This years Keynote speaker was a 2004 candidate for the Democratic Nomination for President of the United States , former Governor of Vermont, the Chairman of the National Committee and Founder of Democracy for America, Howard Dean.



Deadline for Mission-Promoting Grant is Jan. 19
An endowed grant, established to help KVCC achieve its mission of teaching and learning, has been expanded in scope, and the deadline to apply for it and other funding opportunities available through the KVCC Foundation is Monday, Jan. 19.



Internship Initiative Begins this Semester
Funded for a three-year period by the KVCC Foundation, the $100,000 project seeks to place at least 55 students per academic year with enterprises interested in a grow-your-own-workforce alliance.



KVCC'S Annual Fund Drive Underway
KVCC’s Annual Fund Drive is one of two major fundraising events of the year for the college with gifts going to help support student scholarships.



Foundation Funds NEW Internship Program
Businesses and industries are invited to partner in a major internship initiative that Kalamazoo Valley Community College plans to launch in January. KVCC Foundation Award Two Grants in October
Two grants totaling $110,000 were awarded by the Foundation. The first award will be a three year pledge supporting KVCC's Community Partners Internship Program and the second a one time pledge supporting the ExpressWays Program.



KVCC Foundation sets grant-proposal schedule
For the 2008-09 academic year, the KVCC Foundation has established funding-application deadlines for internal grant requests.

Alan Page, who used football at the college and professional levels as a vehicle to the law career he wanted, will keynote the fourth Opportunities for Education fund-raiser on Monday, May 19.
